I walk, I bike, I drive through the desert hills and arroyos of the Southwest. I take a lot of photos. Back in my studio, photos and memories combine with fantasy and magic, resulting in paintings that embody my love of these landscapes.

I want to catch the playfulness in those trees that dot a hillside, in the lines of nectarines and plates, in the colours inside light & shadow. Whether it's fruits and bowls, or trees and sky, I seek boldness in composition and colour that excites the senses.
